Quality Improvement
Abri is committed to bringing its members and providers the highest quality of care and service. Abri operates a Quality Assessment/Process Improvement (QAPI) program whose purpose is to monitor, evaluate and seek to improve the provision of quality health care services, and increase member access to required health care services and to provide excellent service to Abri members, providers and the community at large. Our commitment to quality includes both clinical and service quality projects. Specific focus areas are determined annually and then reviewed for their effectiveness.
Focus areas include:
- Fully immunized children by the age of two
- Lead screening for one and two year olds
- Preventive care services including cancer screening for adult members
- Preventive care services appropriate for their age for children
- Preventive care and appropriate services specific to members with diabetes, asthma and other chronic conditions
- Tobacco cessation counseling and/or pharmacological intervention for members who use tobacco products
- Appropriate levels of prenatal care for pregnant members
- Service levels that beat industry standards for Customer Service, Claims Processing and other administrative services for members and providers
- Member and Provider satisfaction levels that exceed industry standards
